 Management TeamAndy Ataras , Secretary - Contact Me Andy Ataras is the founder and President of Andromedex Corporation, a regional wholesale distributor specializing in diabetic accessories, OTC medications, prescription drugs, and health & beauty aids. Mr. Ataras has a special passion for helping small business owners, especially small and independent pharmacies and drugstores. Andromedex, founded in 2003 and based in Frederick, Maryland, is licensed to distribute prescription drugs in 12 states and is a rapidly growing distribution company, which serves the everyday needs of over 200 pharmacies east of the Rockies. Mr. Ataras began his career in the healthcare industry in 2001 with a nationwide pharmaceutical distributor, quickly becoming its Sales Manager and consistently developing customer loyalty over the long term in a highly competitive sector of the industry--hospital sales. He is also a founding member of and Secretary for the National Coalition of Pharmaceutical Distributors, a proud Accredited Member of the BBB, and an active member of the local business community. A classical pianist by training, Mr. Ataras also has professional experience in electrical and mechanical engineering, IT, the model hobby industry, publishing, and the culinary arts. He enjoys being outdoors whenever possible, the piano music of Chopin, Scriabin, and Mozart, and gives occasional piano recitals at local venues in Maryland.
